General Introduction
The Aitkens Surface Cable Trunking Systems are a comprehensive package of products completely manufactured at our premises in Scotland. The systems designs benefit from being manufactured on the most flexible combined production equipment available, including technology currently new to the market place, all supported by the well established Aitkens sales organisation and company reputation.
Generally Aitkens Trunking Systems comprise three specific product groups, being System A (single compartment sections) System B (two compartment sections) and System C (three compartment sections), each complemented with a full selection of fittings and accessories to provide the client with a product to suit all installation requirements. All components are provided with the appropriate fixings required to complete the coupling of each fitting or accessory.
General Specification
All systems are produced in accordance with appropriate standards and specifications, and are subjectto stringent internal production control procedures to ensure product reliability and quality is maintainedin all instances.
Sections are designed and manufactured to generally comply with the requirements of BS EN 50085-1 : 2005 and BS EN 50085-2 : 2006 cable and trunking systems and cable ducting system for electrical installations. Part 1, and when provided in a multi- compartment format are produced as equal compartment with all fittings and accessories provided with partitions and or flyover channels to maintain full segregation throughout the system. Please note non-standard sections and unequal compartment sizes are available on request. Part 2, cable trunking systems and cable ducting systems intended for mounting on walls and ceiling.
Materials and finishes widely available are mild steel pre galvanised as standard and can be powder coated to order (RAL No. required). Mild steel pre galvanised, manufactured from steel complying withBS EN 10327 : 2004.
